Stayed for the weekend with a group of friends. Great location, good food and good service. Definitely recommend and revisit. Pool area well maintained. Good place to go for a break from Kolkata. Can visit the nearby river front, township and dock area( with permission)

Very badly maintained and terrible hospitality

Checked in 25th December'2016 To start with - "Dont come here ever" The hotel is spread on a very large area but the staff is very ill mannered and there is absolutely no maintenance. The experience started on a very bitter note as the guard who was helping us to park, gave a scar to our car, a scar to remind us never to stay there ever. The floors of the rooms were so dusty that it was impossible for you to walk bare foot. Same is the case with balcony railing -"Dont lean on it" The complimentary water bottles are not sealed pack and is actually tap water filled in mineral water bottle. Pool is huge but it is more like a dirty pond with leaves and figs and lots and lots of insects and spiders in it and when we asked the owner, an elderly lady, very politely to get it cleaned her blunt response was that "its already cleaned and since its an open pool it will be this dirty". So we tried cleaning the pool ourselves so that atleast we can have some fun. The food is very average and the waiters are ill mannered - Eg, we asked for a salad with some extra tomatoes with less or no cucumber or carrots and also asked to charge extra if they want to, but the waiter refused to serve it. You cannot play squash as the ball does not bounce. Cannot play billiards or table tennis too. Badminton- one court inside a huge room - the only thing we loved about this place but dont even think to touch the floor as it had not been swept in ages. Wi-fi works randomly. And when we thought it cannot get worse than what we experienced, the manager snatched the calculator from our hand because "he had to re-calculate the bills and there was only one calculator." No wonder the hotel was almost empty even though it was holiday and sunday too.

The landmark hotel is situated in Haldia just as one enters it.The hotel has a garden full of flowers and natural plants thus enabling to the nature beauty.There is a swimming pool also which is situated next to the bar built during festive times.The rooms are good.The rooms on the left side each has a balcony facing the garden and swimming pool.The hotel has a restaurant.

Good Infrastructure- Not very well maintained

This is a good property with huge infrastructure. However, it is not very well maintained. One of the possible reason could be lower occupancy . I was astonished to see a huge swimming pool , a squash court, a full size badminton court. What a pleasure to have it in such a place. I wish they were a little better maintained . The staff is very well trained, humble and always smiling. They are ready to provide you customized fresh food which is very much like home made.

I stayed at Landmark Plaza for 3 days, it was worth the money. Good wifi connection, neat and clean room, friendly staff and good home-like food. Only issue was the water is a bit salty, and the upkeep from outside not too great..
